Marcol was founded by Terence Cole and Mark Steinberg in 1976 to invest in and develop real estate. It now has interests in many sectors, including care homes, hospitals, hotels, industrial, leisure, offices, residential and retail, with a combined portfolio value of over €3billion.

Marcol has evolved over the years: in addition to a substantial property portfolio ownership, it now offers asset management and advisory services across the real estate industry.

Marcol, and companies backed by the business, identify, fund and undertake acquisitions, refurbishments, developments and investment opportunities. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of regional real estate markets is at the root of Marcol’s success and this is used to carefully select investment opportunities.

After focusing on the UK market for almost 30 years, Marcol’s shareholders expanded their interests into Europe in 2004 by creating two companies: Marcol Europe and Industrial Securities Europe. Headquartered in Luxembourg, with additional offices in France and Germany, both companies follow the same successful management structure and business model used in the UK.

Each company within Marcol operates separately.
